Photo Book Competition Call for Entries
• The Los Angeles Center of Photography is pleased to announce its first Photo Book Competition. Prize winners and selected books from each category will be shown during the Portfolio Walk on Friday, September 13th of EXPOSURE Weekend at the Hotel MdR in Marina del Rey and will be on view at the Los Angeles Center of Photography (LACP) in Hollywood from September 16-October 16th.
Important Dates:
Deadline for Submission: Thursday, August 8th, 2019
Notice of Acceptance: Thursday, August 29th, 2019
Show Opening at Hotel MdR: Friday, September 13th, 2019
Show Dates at LACP: September 16th – October 16th, 2019
Location: Hotel MdR, Marina del Rey and Los Angeles Center of Photography
Categories
1) Self-published (blurb, lulu etc) including all hand-made and artists books
2) Published works from any commercial publisher
Prizes
1st Prize and two Honorable Mentions from each category will be honored at EXPOSURE Weekend and featured in our newsletter and on social media.
In addition, the jurors will pick 15-20 exemplary Photo Books to be displayed during the Portfolio Walk at EXPOSURE Weekend and at the Los Angeles Center of Photography.
