Long Beach City College (LBCC), located in Long Beach, California is having it’s 3rd annual PhotoFest again on April 13 – 17, 2010, which is a series of FREE seminars.

Photo Exchange member Douglas Stockdale, a photographer and the Editor/Publisher of The PhotoBook is returning again as a staff member of the PhotoFest, and will be providing an evening seminar on How to Develop a PhotoBook, at 6pm on Tuesday, April 13th. His program sold out very early last year, so it is recommended that if you are intested in this seminar, you sign up as soon as possible. Regretfully, he will not be able to provide the Photo Project seminar earlier on the same day due to prior committments.

From the PhotoFest web page: The Photography Program at Long Beach City College will be hosting PhotoFest10@LBCC on April 13th, 14th, 15th and 17th. 2010. This is the 3rd annual festival to be held in Long Beach, California with 3 days of free photography-related events and celebrations. The festival will bring together a wide array of accomplished photographers from Southern California and will showcase the work of renowned photographic artists and photojournalists. Our goal is to celebrate photography and it’s impact on our world.

The main emphasis of the festival will be the workshops, demonstrations and seminars held over the three-day period. These events are free, open to students and the general public as well, and are suitable for all levels of expertise. The festival will feature a Photography contest that is open to all LBCC students. The Saturday evening exhibition and reception will showcase work from the LBCC photography program as well as reveal the photography contest winners.

So check it out!

Best regards, Douglas
