Digital Art L.A.

Sachiko Hayashi ”boop-oop-a-doop” 2008.
Opps, I missed this one.
Although the Digital Art L.A. was last weekend in LA, the good news that an exhibition of the works are still available.
Digital Art L.A. is a multi-site international digital art expo in the Gallery Row area of Downtown Los Angeles organized by Rex Bruce and L.A. Center for Digital Art (LACDA). The event includes exhibits by area galleries, theatres, and venues near LACDA. Many of these venues will host selected work from major out of area institutions. The centerpiece will be an international new media exhibit of juried submissions hosted by LACDA selected by Howard Fox, curator of contemporary art, L.A. County Museum of Art. This exhibit will run through September 6 at LACDA.

Winkleman on artist-galleries 50-50 split
I have decided to open a new tracking catagory for this journal called Photo Art Business, which is where I will accumulate various articles about the Business of Fine Art Photography.
Edward Winkleman (Winkleman Gallery, NY, NY) who wrote today about Selling Solo vs. Working with a Gallery, which is about the gallery-artist releationships, but gets into the reasoning and rational behind the traditional 50-50% commission split between a gallery and an artist. For fine art photographers, a highly recommended read.
